Knulp on The Beach
Knulp on the beach is the Knulp bathing establishment. Located in a place to be discovered, protected and enhanced.
We are in Tumulito along the coast of Fondi, which with its Mediterranean dunes and fine golden sandy beach frames a clear, clean sea.
Here, since 2000, we have succeeded in bringing to life the bathing establishment named after the character in a Hermann Hesse story, trying to bring the atmosphere of the Knulp pub back to these places.

What to visit in Fondi
The Olmo Perino district was for many centuries home to a Jewish community that settled in the town before the advent of Christianity. The complete lack of churches or traces of Christian sacred buildings in the district is one of the most real testimonies to the antiquity of the Jewish community in Fondi.
The Caetani Castle, a remarkable monument both for its grandeur and for its state of preservation, is the symbol of the town and one of the rare examples in Europe of a fortress built on the plain.
Lake of Fondi
Lake Fondi (now included in the area of the 'Natural Monument of Lake Fondi'), in the shape of a lunar arch with a surface of about 3.8 km², is a significant example of a coastal lake.
Ancient Appian Way
The most important road in the city of Fondi in Roman times was the Appia Way, which initially connected Rome to Capua and was later extended to Brindisi.
This road therefore crosses the entire fondano territory.
It is in traditional recipes that we find typical products, faithful guardians of genuine flavours, ancient traditions and the history of this land.
